Patrick is a good friend of mine and I have long been a fan of his sites Just Another Mobile Monday and Just Another Phone Blog.
If there is one other iPhone blog you should read besides Top iPhone Resource, it has to be Just Another iPhone Blog. All kidding aside, it really is an excellent blog and a real inspiration for my efforts here.
Patrick recently started an interesting series called Desert island Apps.

It is based on a long-running BBC show called Desert Island Discs. The premise is simple – a guest is invited to choose 8 musical pieces they would take with them if they were stranded on an island.
With Desert Island Apps, a guest is invited to come up with a list of apps that you would take with you if you were stranded in an island.
And Patrick honored me by asking me to be a guest in this week’s Desert Island Apps series..
Without further adieu, I welcome you to check my picks in this week’s Desert Island Apps.
Thanks for the opportunity, Patrick!

There have been many reports of wifi and push notofication issues after the iPhone 3.1.2 jailbreak with blackra1n and unlock with blacksn0w.
Plus, there has also been issues with Youtube and GPS after the 3.1.2 jailbreak.
But, we are in luck as iPhoneil has released a ‘Push Fix & Youtube’ and is now available in Cydia.
- Disable Wifi before you start
- Just add the iPhoneil repository to your Cydia sources – http://cydia.iphoneil.net. Search for Push Fix & Youtube and install it.

- Now, reboot your iPhone and enable WiFi.
- Reboot your iPhone again
Looks like this patch fixes the wifi & Youtube issues after the jailbreak/unlock with blackra1n & blacksn0w.
Let us know in the comments if this helps such issues you had with your iPhone.

Every once in a while I find a great theme on Cydia and I have to say that Ellseedee (as in LCD) is one of the most beautiful simple themes I have seen.

The problem with that type of theme is that if you don’t have an icon for a particular application, then your theme looks all funky. This theme for example doesn’t come with many icons and it doesn’t have an icon for Tweetie. If I was to put the Tweetie icon on the springboard, it would look out of place.
Oh well, it’s still a great theme that deserves a little attention.
Do you like it?

One of the big reasons to jailbreak your iPhone is the Winterboard themes that can make your iPhone your own! Today, we will look at another great Winterboard theme.
Are you a Windows Seven fan? Here is the perfect iPhone Winterboard theme for you! And it is one of the most complete themes I have come across!
Windows Seven Ultimate has a great Windows 7-like UI. It comes with a full UI, 125 icons, loading screens, SBSettings theme and more. It is fully customizable – you can toggle on or off the backgrounds or you can give yourself the ability to choose your own background/wallpapers yet keep the Windows 7 look and feel. It provides custom tap to poweroff and answer buttons, compass, docl, lock screen and carrier images for t-mobile & at&t, notes, sms, loading screens, etc.
And guess what? It even comes with a Pogoplank theme!

As you can see the list is long it looks gorgeous!
I know some Apple fans will be like WTF. But, you have to admit this theme looks really really nice.
How to Install Windows Seven Ultimate Winterboard Theme?
- Your device must be jailbroken.
- You must have Winterboard installed via Cydia.
- You must have ModMyi Repository added to Cydia.
- Search for Windows Seven Ultimate in Cydia and install it.
- Launch Winterboard and activate Windows Seven Ultimate.
