I was so thrilled to find Nolo’s Plain English Law Dictionary because there have been many times when I needed to read through legal jargon, and could not understand the terminology. Nolo’s is very comprehensive and offers features such as 4,000 terms with definitions, a powerful search capability, browsing by the first letter of a term (which I use most often), and word of the day with a shake of the iPhone. Another option is that you may search for a lawyer in your area. Fortunately, no internet connection is required to use the dictionary so you can study the terms you need anywhere. Now, the law isn’t a boring thing at all. In fact, with Nolo’s you may choose between 3 different themes – classic, modern or orange to dress up your display. This is one app I want to say everyone should carry on their iPhone because our culture has become so very legalistic, and understanding the law is a must!
“Finally a legal dictionary for the 21st century. As the nation’s oldest and most respected provider of legal information for consumers and small businesses, Nolo now offers students, accountants, paralegals, and everyone else whose work or life is touched by the law, a complete and up-to-date legal dictionary that is designed for the palm of your hand. You’ll find Latin terms, contract jargon and contract basics.”
